Free economic zone "Brest"

Free economic zone "Brest" has been created to attract foreign investments and the challenges associated with economic development in the region.

The territory of FEZ "Brest is located in the northwestern part of town, on land the Brest region and the airport" Brest ". Teritoiya SEZ is a dedicated, land area of 7081 hectares.

FEZ borders with the Republic of Poland – on the Bug River for 10 km. On the south side adjacent to Mr. Brest and separated from a main railway line Brest-Bialystok-Kaliningrad.

For the import of foreign and domestic goods in the territory of FEZ "Brest" customs duties are not collected and economic policy measures are not taken.

For goods (works, services) produced in the territory of FEZ "Brest", not subject to quotas and introduced licensing the export of the republic.

On the territory of FEZ "Brest" in its grace taxation: a tax on profits and incomes – 15%, value added tax of 10%.

Profits derived by residents of FEZ "Brest" through the implementation of services and its products, is exempt from taxation for a period of 5 years from the date of its declaration, including the first profitable year.

As of November 1, 2000 in FEZ "Brest" registered 85 residents. Stated investments totaling more than $ 110 million. The share of total investment by country sluduyuschim distributed as follows:

Germany – 43,3%

Belarus and Russia – 20,7%

United Kingdom – 8.9%

Poland – 5,6%

Czech Republic – 4.4% have a company with foreign capital from Israel, USA, Cyprus, Malta, Ireland and Italy. On the territory of FEZ "Brest" organized the production of furniture, food products, electrical and light industry, wood and lacquer production, as well as the manufacture of goods interior appointments.
